Description
Meet Romeo
Romeo is a handsome 2-year-old solid black cat with a heart just as big as his purr. He was rescued during a recent snow and ice storm, sitting pitifully in the snow and begging to be let inside — and once he felt warmth and safety, his loving personality truly shined.
Romeo is fully vetted, playful, and affectionate. He enjoys other cats with a slow, proper introduction, and he lives for cozy nights — especially snuggling up in bed where he happily makes biscuits and soaks up affection. He is the kind of cat who wants to be close, offering companionship and comfort in the sweetest ways.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving cat who's grateful for every soft blanket and warm cuddle, Romeo may be your perfect match.
I am FIV+ but don't let that scare you! FIV is only spread to other cats through deep bite wounds, and I am a lover not a fighter. With a proper slow introduction to other cats I will be the politest boy. FIV is essentially an autoimmune disease that makes me a little bit more prone to colds and dental problems. With regular vet care and proper nutrition, I can stay healthy as any other kitty :)

This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
Adoption process
All our rescues and shelters work hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies that find their way into their care. These animals come from a wide variety of backgrounds and situations and all of them are looking for a forever home. They will be completely vaccinated, vetted, neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records.
They are transported to you with our USDA licensed and certified transport – Rescue Riders Pet Transport, “The most animal-friendly transport on the road.”
Adoption fees vary but, in all cases, it covers the animals vetting, vaccinations, spay/neuter as well as their foster care, and transportation to your area.
Thank you for opening your home to a rescue animal.
ADOPT, DON'T SHOP.
Shelter location
Our rescues generally do not have an actual shelter building in the listed area. This means it is often not possible to meet these babies prior to their adoption, however, all of these rescues have been rehoming dogs to your area for many years and are happy to offer you references etc. who can fill you in on their experience and how well the process works. There is also generally a money-back guarantee and a mechanism for returning the animal to the rescue if needed. All these rescues then work to re-home the animal. None are returned to a shelter. We never leave a rescue behind!
