(TRIO will be at our adoption event on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Petco Crossroads, Crenshaw and Lomita Blvd, from 1200 to 300 pm. Come on down and meet this awesome little guy!)

Meet Trio!

Trio is a sweet boy, 4 years old, weighing about 11 lbs. Trio is a dachshund and chihuahua mix.

At one time in Trio's life, he was attacked by a big dog and had to have his right rear leg amputated but that hasn't slowed him down one bit. He runs circles at high speed in the yard playing with the other foster dogs at his foster home. He does get along with other dogs. He loves walks and going for rides in the car.

Trio is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

Adoption process

Thank you for your interest in one of our rescue dogs or cats.

Please be advised that filling out the application does NOT guarantee an adoption. We do NOT sell our dogs nor cats. We adopt them. The adoption donation/fee is tax deductible. Your donation is used 100% for the welfare and vet care of the animals while they are with us.

Adoption donation for dogs: $300; $350 for puppies. Adoption donation for cats: $125, $125 for kittens.

Dachshunds participate in conformation shows, field trials and many other events organized through pure-bred dog organizations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC). According to the AKC, the dachshund was ranked 12th in popularity among dog breeds in the United States in 2018.
