Everdeen is a lively, chatty cat with a big personality and a sharp mind. She thrives on mental stimulation and would do well with someone experienced in training or who enjoys engaging with high-intelligence cats. Everdeen has shown a high interest in the outdoors and would likely enjoy leash training if it means daily walks.
While she enjoys the company of her human and can be very snuggly, she also appreciates her independence. Everdeen has a bit of a dominant streak, which tends to surface when she's establishing her territory, both indoors and in the yard. She's best suited to be the only cat in the home, although she might get along with an older, more laid-back feline companion. She currently shares her space with a submissive senior dog, and they get along well, with only occasional moments of 'spice' when she is not pleased with something.
If you have a loving home with plenty of room for exploration and a secure outdoor space where she can safely roam, Everdeen could be the perfect fit for you. Experience with vocal cats is preferred. Her ideal home is one where she can be both the sweet snuggle bug and the independent adventurer she’s meant to be.
Currently living in Longmont; Foster ET.
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
- $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
