Description
Brownie arrived at Animal Lifeline with his sister, Bear Paw. He is a shy guy who enjoys a nice quiet environment. Brownie will need an experienced cat owner, as he is FIV+ and has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). His heart condition has thrown him into congestive heart failure (CHF). We are searching for a special adopter WHO can give Brownie the hospice care and home he deserves.
Adoption process
Our adoption fee for adult dogs starts at $150, adult cats are $75.00 and all animals are current on vaccines, have been spayed/neutered, wormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm and cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Puppies are $300.00, kittens are $125.00.All adopters must complete an adoption application. Shelter location
Our adoption hours are Wednesday & Friday Noon to 5pm, Thursday Noon to 6pm and Saturday Noon to 4pm. Monday and Tuesday - Closed or By prior appointment. Closed on Sunday. The shelter is located at 4521 SE 14th Street, Des Moines (between McKinley and Watrous)It is always best to complete an adoption application on-line and an adoption counselor will phone you to schedule an appointment time for you to come to the shelter.
