Description

Luna is a gorgeous, long-haired loving and sweet cat that wants human attention and care. She so loves to be petted and brushed and to hang out with you. She has lovely long gray fur with a cute little white patch on her chest. She looks as if she has a lion's mane with her fur collar! Luna is a lap kitty, but is content to lie in her little bed next to you. She runs to you upon arrival in her room asking for pats and belly rubs, and she has fun chasing strings and feathers. She kneads your belly or the ground when she is happy or enticed by her string toy. Luna is spayed, vaccinated, litter box perfect, uses her scratching posts exclusively, and recently had teeth cleaned. She is the sweetest girl and needs her home with a kind and gentle person in a quiet household. Please consider Luna for your gentle home. To adopt Luna, please email [email protected] for an application

Adoption process

We have applicants fill out the application--usually online. Someone calls to talk wit the applicant to find out more about their needs and desires. If we find all in order on the phone, we invite the person to visit the cat in the foster home. If it seems the 2 are a good match, we visit the potential new home to be sure all looks according to what was said and that they are ready for the cat. We then deliver the cat to the home. They must be willing to keep the cat inside and have a safe place for the cat to retreat to if he needs it. Plus secure screens. Of course, agree to keep the cat healthy with yearly exams, immunizations, good food and fresh water, fresh litter, etc.

Shelter location

We have adoption fairs on the 1st Saturday of each month from 1-4 at the Pet Food Express at 1768 Miramonte Ave in Mountain View

    Breed info

Like the domestic short-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic long-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry – thus not belonging to any particular recognised cat breed – possessing a coat of semi-long to long fur. Domestic long-haired cats should not be confused with the British Longhair, American Longhair, or other breeds with "Longhair" names, which are standardized breeds defined by various registries. Domestic long-haireds are the second most popular cat in the United States after the domestic short-haired; one in ten of the ninety million cats in the US is a domestic long-hair. Other generic terms are long-haired house cat and, in British English, long-haired moggie.
