Meet BROWNIE BOY... DOB est 5/15/2021, male, neutered, brown tabby & white, vaccinated...

BROWNIE BOY is a bit of a special needs boy, but he's quite the life of the party!! He loves to race around a room to get everyone's attention, then sleeps hard after playing hard! This handsome boy was found in the shed of a home in New Hope, where a volunteer was helping a hospitalized neighbor. He was in pretty poor condition and it was uncertain if he would survive... With loving care by a vet and in his foster home, BROWNIE BOY turned the corner and has been doing wonderfully!! He's active, sweet, nosy, loving.... He does have a health issue that will eventually need attention however... This sweet boy has gum disease that will most likely cause him to need his teeth removed after he's about a year old. Before he becomes one of our "sanctuary cats" - meaning one that will receive care from us long-term as we abandon none that come under our care... we do want to see if there is a potential Forever Home out there he could join. As an active youngster, he'd be happiest joining a Family where another young kitty already lives. Email [email protected] if you'd like to be put in touch with BROWNIE BOY's foster mom! You may also call her directly with the number above.

    Breed info

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
