Meet Sparkle, a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair with a bit of a shy side. She may take her time getting to know you, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll show you her sweet, affectionate nature. Sparkle is a playful girl at heart, and she loves to chase toys and explore her surroundings, though she prefers to do it at her own pace. While she might not immediately jump into cuddles, once she warms up to you, she’s all about the love and attention. Sparkle may need a little patience, but in return, she’ll be a loyal and gentle companion who truly appreciates the bond you share. If you`re looking for a kitty who will become your best friend over time, Sparkle is the one for you!

Adoption process

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at [email protected] or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

Mon., Tues., Thur., & Fri.: 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
