Meet Tora!Tora is a 13-year-old domestic shorthair with a calm, independent spirit and a gentle appreciation for the quieter side of life. This laid-back lady enjoys doing things on her own terms, whether that’s lounging in a cozy spot or accepting affection when she’s in the mood. Tora would thrive as the only cat in the home, where she can truly relax and be the center of her environment, and her experience with dogs is still unknown. She does have some dental issues and prefers a wet food diet, but with a little understanding and care, she’ll continue to live comfortably. With her peaceful presence and quietly affectionate nature, Tora is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a more independent, easygoing feline friend.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.Shelter locationWe are located at 2160 N. Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
