Meet Clawdia! ??

Clawdia is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair who came to us from a home with several unsocialized cats. When she first arrived, the shelter environment was a little overwhelming, and she was understandably pretty nervous. But with time, patience, and plenty of gentle encouragement, Clawdia has started to come out of her shell and show us more of her personality!

She is learning that people can be kind and that she doesn’t always have to be so nervous. Clawdia may need a little time to feel comfortable in a new home, but we think she has so much potential to continue blossoming once she has a safe and quiet place of her own.

If you`re willing to give Clawdia the time and patience she needs, you may get to experience one of the most rewarding parts of adoption—watching a shy cat discover her confidence and become the happy girl she was always meant to be.

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please use the link below to fill out the application. Once we receive that back, then we can schedule you a meeting with the animal you are interested in.

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at [email protected] or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $200.00 for dogs, $125 for kittens under 6 months of age and $100 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration.

Mon., Tues., Thur., & Fri.: 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
