Meet Gordo — the ultimate explorer with a big personality and even bigger zoomies! This high-energy boy is always on the move, climbing, leaping, and chasing his favorite teaser wand toys. He’s a fantastic jumper and loves to turn everyday spaces into his own jungle gym. Gordo is also incredibly affectionate and chatty — he’ll happily carry on a conversation while snuggling into your lap once he’s tired out.
Gordo gets along well with other cats and dogs. He’s confident, curious, and social. He’s especially close to his sister Miranda and would thrive being adopted with her or into a home with another young, playful feline friend.
He has his vetting done! He has been spayed, had his vaccinations, preventative flea & dewormer, was tested for FIV/FELV, and is microchipped. If you'd like to meet Gordo, fill out an application. There is no obligation, it just starts the conversation. Approx DOB 3/19/2025. Every Saturday & Sunday, Frisco Humane Society has Adopt-A-Pet events at PetSmart (3333 Preston Road, Frisco). FHS has different adoptable cats there all weekend & adoption counselors on site to help, from Noon - 4 p.m. on both days.
Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step it to fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations.
We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.

Meet some of our adoptable at the Frisco PetSmart Adopt-A-Pet center Friday-Sunday. Adoption counselors are available onsite at PetSmart most Saturdays & Sundays, 12-4 p.m. to conduct meet and greets and onsite adoptions. Adoption process
For cats, you will need to fill out a "get-to-know you" adoption application, and we do allow for same-day adoptions. For dogs, we need an adoption application & provide home visit to help ensure it's a good fit for the dog and the family. Our goal is to help you & to help find our fosters their "forever" homes.Our Adoption Fees:
*$140 for adult cats (1-9)
*$160 for kittens/juniors (up to 1 year)
*$105 for seniors/special needs
*$185 for dogs/puppies
*Payment methods: Credit card, cash or personal check (with valid local Texas driver license).
