Description

**Meet Romeo and Juliet: Your Future Furry Family Members!**

Romeo and Juliet are the most adorable brother and sister duo you could ever hope to adopt! Born on March 25, 2022, these two affectionate cats share an unbreakable bond and a love for one another that will melt your heart.

**Juliet**, with her beautiful orange and white coat, is the outgoing explorer of the pair. Her curiosity knows no bounds! Whether she’s peeking around the corner to see what you’re up to or hopping onto a seat to investigate your latest grocery haul, Juliet’s playful spirit will keep you entertained and smiling.

**Romeo**, on the other hand, is a gentle soul with a stunning black and brown coat. He may be a bit shy at first, taking his time to adjust to new faces and surroundings. But once he feels safe and secure, he blossoms into the most loving and affectionate companion you could ask for. All he needs is a patient owner who understands his need for a little extra time to come out of his shell.

Together, Romeo and Juliet are the perfect pair! They thrive on each other’s company, whether they’re playing, grooming, or comforting one another during those unexpected moments of surprise. Their sweet, gentle nature means they’ve never displayed aggressive behavior, and they’re always aware of their surroundings, making them incredibly sensitive and loving companions.

These two playful kitties adore interactive games like laser tag and feather strings, and they would love nothing more than to share quality time with you. They may be a little timid initially, but with your love and patience, they will flourish and fill your home with joy, laughter, and warmth.

If you’re an experienced cat owner who understands the beauty of patience and love, Romeo and Juliet are ready to bring excitement, fun, and endless affection into your life. Adopt them today, and let this sweet duo fill your home with love and comfort!

Bonded pair adoption fee: $300, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer

Adoption process

Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.

Shelter location

Our adoptions are held at the Fair Lakes PETsMART in Fairfax Virginia, at the Chantilly PetsMART, at the Gainesville PetsMART, and at the Springfield PetsMART

    Breed info

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
