Description

Hi! I'm Dollface, and I’m sweet, affectionate, and curious, though I tend to be a bit more cautious when it comes to exploring new things. But don’t worry—I always follow the lead of my brave brother, Shadow, so once he’s comfortable, I’m usually right behind him! Once I warm up to you, I’ll reward you with loud purrs. At meal times, I’m always eager to greet my foster mom with a happy meow.

I’m the instigator of playtime, especially when it comes to my brother—he’s great at chasing after toys, and I love to get things started! I also love running around the house, chirping with excitement, particularly in the early evening hours but we both settle down by 9pm. And of course, chasing the red dot is one of my absolute favorite activities! When I’m not playing, you’ll often find me perched by the window, taking in the sights outside. With my playful nature and sweet purrs, I can’t wait to show you just how much fun I am!

Bonded pair adoption fee: $300, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip

Shadow (male) and Dollface (female) are an affectionate, bonded pair who deserve a loving home. They are shy at first but warm up with a little time and trust and just want lots of pets and love. They are extremely playful- only one year old and have beautiful tabby markings! They are cat and dog friendly too.

Adoption process

Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.

Our adoptions are held at the Fair Lakes PETsMART in Fairfax Virginia, at the Chantilly PetsMART, at the Gainesville PetsMART, and at the Springfield PetsMART

    Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
