Description + Description -

Hi, I'm Spice. I am a cutie pie who has had an unlucky start in life. The shelter found me and took great care of me. Now I am ready to find my furever family. Come meet me and see how much of a love bug I am. Spice is a 6 week old domestic short hair female cat. She was brought to the shelter on 8/30/23. She is UTD on all vaccines and is spayed; she will be microchipped and combo tested upon adoption. Come meet this sweet girl at the Cobb County Animal Shelter in Cage #615 A. Her ID # is 648830. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
