Kitten Jack, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Norfolk, Virginia

Description + Description -

Hi, my name is Jack… and I’m hoping you might be the one I’ve been waiting for. I’m a 7-month-old black and white boy right in that perfect “teenage kitten” stage—full of playful energy but also discovering just how much I love being close to my people. I’m the best of both worlds: I’ll happily chase my catnip mice like it’s my full-time job, and then curl up in your arms when it’s time to relax. I truly love people. Being held, getting attention, and just being part of your day are my favorite things. I’m not just a pet—I’m a little companion who wants to bring fun, comfort, and a whole lot of love into your home. If you’re looking for a kitty who will make you smile, keep you entertained, and melt into your arms at the end of the day… I might just be your guy. Want to know more about me? Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for Jack—they’ll be happy to tell you all about me and send you an application!April 4, 2026, 9:42 pmAdoption processMost all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
