Sergeant Ruffles

Attention!  All paws on deck! Salute Sergeant Ruffles!  This R-R-R-Ruffles has WHISKERS - that command immediate respect.

This dashing little black-and-white recruit was rescued alongside his twin brother from a junkyard in southern Tennessee at the end of June.  While two littermates remained tucked beneath a pallet, Ruffles and his twin Pringles boldly marched into the unknown.  A natural-born leader, Sergeant Ruffles displayed bravery as a seasoned veteran, as he rallied the troops to safety.

Once all four recruits were secured, it was time to inspect the kitten barracks.  They discovered an impressive new base of operations: tunnels to scout, cat towers to conquer, cozy condos for well-earned R&R, and an endless arsenal of toys.  Best of all?  A fully stocked mess hall with unlimited chow.  At ease, soldiers!  The entire squad concluded that humans are pretty terrific allies.

Sergeant Ruffles is scheduled for his next mission - neuter surgery - on August 11th, when he’ll be about 12 weeks old.  We fully expect him to complete the operation with flying colors, and perhaps he’ll even earn a well-deserved Purple Heart for bravery!  After a brief recovery in the infirmary, he’ll be cleared for his most important deployment yet: reporting for permanent duty in his forever home.
