Otter loves being the center of attention. She is the ultimate lap cat. Otter would love nothing more than to spend her days and nights curled up in a warm lap. She is a simple gal who enjoys the simple things in life. Otter is curious and has an adventurous spirit. She loves to explore her surroundings, even if that means going places that seem out of reach. Otter will find the way! She is an ambitious lady! Otter would do best in a calmer household with older, considerate children. It is suggested that Otter not be an only cat as she is very sociable; Otter loves her kitty roommates. Her temperament around dogs is unknown. As with any new family member, a slow introduction is recommended. Otter is spayed, tested (FELV/FIV negative), current vaccinations, and microchipped. Adoption process

We start all adoptions with a questionnaire to make sure the pet being adopted is a good fit for the new home. Then an adoption application is completed and the adoption fee is collected.

Shelter location

Living The Dream Rescue adopts out animals via private appointments and adoption events held at various Petsmart locations.

    Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
