Description

Angel came to the Goathouse after being pulled from a kill shelter in April of 2018.
Approx. DOB: 04/04/2016

If interested in adopting a Goathouse cat or kitten, following are the steps required in our process:
1. Complete our online adoption application (www.goathouserefuge.org/adoption-application/)
2. Visit the Goathouse Refuge
4. Home Visit: Once you've had an opportunity to visit and complete the online application, your responses will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, a volunteer will contact you to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge has visited the applicant’s home will they consider continuing with the adoption process.

Shelter location

People can visit the Goathouse from 11am-3pm Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, or by appointment.

    Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
