Danny, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description + Description -

Meet Danny! Rescued as a spicy little bean from the South Side Slopes, Danny is the cutest little pap with his white ear hair. He’s our wild boy with microphthalmia - aka a small eye. He definitely has some visual differences but he doesn’t let it limit him. He’s a big fan of the shiny crinkle balls and lounging in a cat hammock with his head hanging over the edge. He’s the shyest of the group but I imagine it’s hard to feel truly safe when your vision is not 100%, but I imagine that with time and stability, that will improve. Danny must be adopted with a sibling or to a home with another young cat. Danny is about 3 months old, neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested FIV/FeLV negative. Adoption processAdopting a cat is a big responsibility and commitment, but it's also one of the biggest acts you can ever do for an animal in need. Each and every cat in our care has their own story and background. They are all fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative (unless otherwise specified). Because of this, our adoption fee is $95 for one cat over 1-year-old or $155 for 2 and $110 for one cat under 1-year-old or $195 for 2. Our approval process includes a vet reference (personal reference if you've not had a vet in the last 5 years), virtual home tour, and landlord approval should you be a renter. The completion of an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
