Meet Brook, one of our little Happy Campers! Brook is a short-haired brown tabby girl born May 17, 2026, and while she may be a little reserved when she first arrives at camp, once she gets settled in, her sweet personality starts to shine.

Brook is good with adult men and women and is curious about strangers, even if she needs some time before she’s comfortable enough to come say hello. She’s a little timid around children, but is perfectly happy being in the same room with them. She’s submissive with other cats and pretty indifferent to dogs. And when it comes to her feline friends, she has a favorite campsite buddy—her sister Carbon! The two of them love grooming each other, which is about as wholesome as campfire cuddles get.

Once Brook decides you’re trustworthy, she’ll happily roll onto her back for belly rubs and may even reward you with kisses. She loves attention and interaction, although being picked up isn’t her favorite activity just yet. Her foster is working with her on it, and she’s learning that sometimes being held isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Brook is also a serious toy camper. Give her a corkscrew toy or, even better, a sparkling pom-pom, and she is one happy camper. She’ll carry those little pom-poms around everywhere like she’s bringing her favorite camping gear from one campsite to the next. She’s also a fan of small crunchy treats and lickable goodies. Her energy level is medium, and she fully supports the philosophy of getting plenty of beauty sleep after a busy day at camp.

Brook is looking for a patient family who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace and appreciate all the sweetness she has to offer once she feels safe. Because Brook is a kitten, she is required to be adopted into a home with another kitten or young, playful cat so she has a feline friend to grow up and play with.

If you’re looking for a sweet little Happy Camper who comes with a sparkling pom-pom obsession, excellent belly-rub appreciation, and a talent for giving kisses, Brook may be your girl!

We do not have a brick-and-mortar location. All animals are in foster homes so meeting them isn’t possible until you have an approved application, UNLESS you are interested in visiting cats at PetSmart in Geneva, IL. The first step is to submit an application and if we think that you're a good fit, we will be in touch!
