Zelda, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Shreveport, Louisiana

Description + Description -

Hi there! My name is Zelda. I was brought here with my mom and sibling when we were little babies. We are growing up here in the shelter and now I am almost 10 weeks old. I would love to grow up in a loving home rather than a kennel so please consider adding me as a lovable fur baby real soon! I am super sweet and social. My adoption fee of $25 covers my spay, microchip and vaccinations which leaves plenty left over for some toys, yummy noms and a comfy cat bed.Adoption processThe fee for adoption is $50, cash only. We have many great pets available for adoption at our shelter and during our offsite adoption events. There is no resident location requirement to adopt a pet from us. We have a friendly staff that will assist you in locating a compatible pet for your home and family. Any questions may be answered by calling 318-226-6624.Shelter location1500 Monty St, Shreveport, LA 71107 Monday - Friday 8AM–5:30PM Saturday 10AM–2PM Sunday Closed

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
