Description + Description -

Everyone, hereeee’s BoltBolt is about 7-8 months old. In all my years I’ve never met a cat like Bolt. He loves to sit on your shoulder and make biscuits and nuzzle your neck!! He does play and like to have fun. He’s a very caring cat and takes care of some of the littler kittens in this group. He’s ready to go to his forever home.Adoption processAll adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application. Canine Adoption Fees: $450 for puppies under 1 year of age $375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years $300 for dogs 7 years and older Feline Adoption Fees: $250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old $200 for cats between 1-6 years old $150 for cats 6 years old and older Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.Shelter locationCheck our Facebook page for our adoption end fundraising events! www.facebook.com/barrheadanimalrescuesociety

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
