Description

This pretty girl is Gypsy. She has a fever coat that never went away. She’s super soft and very cuddly. She has no sense of boundaries when she likes you. She’s a lap cat and loves to snuggle on you as close as she can get. She’s a quiet girl and doesn’t meow much. She likes to play and is very gentle. She’s good with other cats. She prefers a snuggle buddy and loves pretty much any cat that will tolerate her clinginess. She prefers wet food but will eat dry kibble. She loves to sleep with her favorite human once she has chosen you. She can be a tad skittish and may run from you until she feels comfortable in her new environment but will warm up to you in no time!

Adoption process

We have an application that we will send you via e-mail. Once we receive that we will call you for a phone interview. We also have a contract that you must sign. We reserve the right to do a home inspection before and after the adoption. Our adoption fees are $100/ kitten or $150 for a pair. Indoor only household, $50 for cats 1 year or older. We prefer that our fur friends go to indoor-only homes. Some adoptions may have other needs so we will screen them on a case by case basis. Barn cats are available from time to time with a fee of $25 with a minimum of 2. Why 2? We feel that cats are communal and moving them as a family will help them adjust to their new environment better.

Shelter location

Since we run the rescue from our private residence, we only give out our address to people we have preapproved to meet one of our potentially adoptable cats. You can get updates, pictures, and videos from our Facebook page or IG. https://www.facebook.com/WhiskMo We can also email more information on a specific cat that you may be interested in adopting.

    Breed info

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
