Matrix, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Vancouver, Washington

Description + Description -

Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I need a slow introduction to cats. I can share my space with cats, but I'd like to get used to the idea over time.If there are kids in my new home, I need them to be older than 6 and would like to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.I'd do best living in a home without dogs. They make me uneasy and I'd rather have the attention to myself. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.9 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wksAdoption processThe Humane Society for Southwest Washington uses the following guidelines for adoptions: 1. Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with Shorthair names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
