Description

Meet Ginseng, Hay, Stray, Clover, Wheat, Oats, Alfalfa, and Soybean

This charming crew just arrived from a farm, and while we can’t say for sure who’s related to who (family tree: complicated), one thing is clear—they’re all incredibly sweet, friendly, and ready for their next chapter.

Ranging from kittens to adults and showing off a variety of beautiful colors and personalities, this group has clearly spent time around other cats—they get along wonderfully and would be happy in homes with feline friends. Whether you’re looking for a playful youngster or a more laid-back companion, there’s a perfect match waiting somewhere in this bunch.

They’re still getting used to the idea of indoor life, but so far, they’re embracing the good things: cozy beds, reliable meals, and plenty of human attention. It doesn’t take much to win them over—they’re affectionate, easygoing, and just happy to be somewhere safe.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a friendly, farm-fresh feline (or maybe even two) to your home, Ginseng, Hay, Stray, Clover, Wheat, Oats, Alfalfa, and Soybean are ready to settle in and make themselves part of the family.

This cat attends Saturday adoption events (10 AM to 2:30 PM) and Sunday Adoption Events (12pm to 3pm) at our Verona Adoption Center.

All cats/kittens are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped prior to going to their new homes.

Adoption process

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.

    Breed info

Like the domestic long-haired cat, this is not a breed, but a non-breed classification of mixed-breed cats. Domestic cat (Felis catus) A domestic short-haired cat is a cat of mixed ancestry—thus not belonging to any particular recognized cat breed—possessing a coat of short fur. In British English, they are often referred to as moggies. Domestic short-haired cats should not be confused with the British Shorthair, American Shorthair, or other standardized breeds with "Shorthair" names, which are breeds recognized by various registries. Domestic short-haireds are the most common cat in the United States, accounting for around 90–95% of their number. Other generic terms include house cat and alley cat (the latter may be used more specifically to refer to feral specimens). The term tabby cat technically refers to a coat pattern, but is also often used as a general term for cats of this sort.
