**SUPER FRIENDLY SENIOR ALERT****
Marv could be our friendly senior cat that just isn't getting enough social media attention! Our pint-sized prince is really the cats MEOW :) He arrived to us in early May with an open wound on his foot; he is all healed and ready to find a forever home. It was during his routine vet care he was diagnosed with diabetes. He is responding well to the medication and we don't want this to prevent him from finding a forever family! Our special fella Marv wants everyone out in the world to know what a friendly guy he is, how happy he would be to become a part of YOUR family!! Marv is recommended for a home with tween aged kids, where he isn't going to be confused as a stuffy animal. While he does solicit attention, he also can easily lay atop a cat tree and watch the world from the safety of inside. Marv is 8 yrs old and is looking for a low-traffic home to call his own. If you are looking for companionship, please consider this fella.

Adoption process

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees.
