Description

Hi there! Kasper here. I’m a handsome 7-year-old orange and white gentleman weighing in at 11.25 pounds, and I’m currently looking for a home where I can be my wonderfully independent self.

I’m a friendly guy, although I’ll admit I like to take a little time getting to know new people. Once I’m comfortable, I enjoy having my humans around—but I do prefer affection on my terms. I’m perfectly capable of entertaining myself, thank you very much!

One of my favorite things to do is head outside and explore. If the weather is nice, you can bet I’d much rather be enjoying the fresh air and checking out the neighborhood than spending all day indoors. I’m looking for a family who understands that an indoor-outdoor lifestyle is important to me and is willing to accommodate that.

As for my four-legged friends, I do well with dogs, although I may greet a new canine acquaintance with a little hiss. Don’t take it personally—I just like to make sure everyone understands the ground rules! I previously lived with two other cats, and we peacefully co-existed.

I haven’t had much experience with men or children, so slow introductions would be best to help me feel safe and comfortable.

Our adoption application is easy and helps staff understand the qualities you are looking for in your new pet. You can complete the adoption application online, at home or at the shelter. You may be interested in a certain animal or we can help you find good match for you and your lifestyle. Our goal is to make the best choice possible to ensure the animals’ health, safety and happiness. We also want our adopters to be able to make an informed choice and adopt the animal that is the best fit for their family.
