I have a lovely litter of pedigree Syrian hamsters available and looking for their forever homes! Mum (Sunny) is a short haired black female and dad (Teddy) is a long haired cinnamon satin rex. Both parents have wonderful temperaments and this has been reflected in these pups. I have both parents pedigree papers that can be seen upon request and you are welcome to see the parents in person upon collection or I can provide photos. All of these pups have been handled since they were two weeks old and have been handled by myself as well as friends and family to make sure they are well socialised with different people and scents. These babies have never bitten and are growing in confidence every day! These babies can leave from September 20th 2022. The available pups are: 2 x Long Haired Golden Male 1 x Long Haired Golden Satin Male 4 x Short Haired Golden Male 1 x Short Haired Golden Satin Male 2 x Short Haired Golden Female 1 x Long Haired Golden Female 1 x Short Haired Golden Satin Female These hamsters will require a cage that meets the welfare minimum of 620 square inches of floor space (80x60cm) or more, however 100x50cm or more is ideal, especially for female Syrians! They will also require a 12 inch wheel to prevent a curvature of the spine. Each of these gorgeous babies will come with a care sheet, a bag of changeover food, a chew toy and their pedigree certificate. A non-refundable deposit of $20 is required to reserve your hamster and this will hold them for a week from when they are able to leave myself. I can also provide a plastic carrier if needed for $15 If you are interested and think you can give one of these sweet babies a home, then send me a message on Get-pet platform Thanks

Hamsters are rodents (order Rodentia) belonging to the subfamily Cricetinae, which contains 19 species classified in seven genera. They have become established as popular small pets. The best-known species of hamster is the golden or Syrian hamster (Mesocricetus auratus), which is the type most commonly kept as pets. Other hamster species commonly kept as pets are the three species of dwarf hamster, Campbell's dwarf hamster (Phodopus campbelli), the winter white dwarf hamster (Phodopus sungorus) and the Roborovski hamster (Phodopus roborovskii). Hamsters are more crepuscular than nocturnal and, in the wild, remain underground during the day to avoid being caught by predators. They feed primarily on seeds, fruits, and vegetation, and will occasionally eat burrowing insects. Physically, they are stout-bodied with distinguishing features that include elongated cheek pouches extending to their shoulders, which they use to carry food back to their burrows, as well as a short tail and fur-covered feet.
