My name is Paya, and I traveled all the way from Alabama to Minnesota with my siblings. We were a bit nervous about starting this new adventure, but I’m slowly finding my way and learning to love my foster home! Every sound and sight in a house is new to me, and while it takes me a little time to warm up to people, I absolutely adore my fellow dog pals. Having a dog sibling is a must for me, as it helps me learn how to play, go for walks, and even manage potty time. Speaking of potty, I’m a good girl who knows to do my business outside! I’m also very food- and treat-motivated, which means I learn quickly when tasty goodies are involved. In fact, I’ve mastered going through the doggie door for just one treat—that’s my ticket to freedom! Now, I love bringing all my toys outside for some extra fun! I also enjoy a good walk or hike to sniff out the world around me. Did I mention I love the lakes and pools? I prefer older children at home since younger, fast-moving ones make me a bit nervous. If you’re looking for a sweet pup to join your family, I’m ready to be your loyal companion. Let’s embark on this adventure together! From the foster family: Paya is a sweet and shy girl who takes her time to adjust to new surroundings and people. However, once she forms a bond, she becomes your devoted shadow, always wanting to be by your side. Paya is extremely intelligent and a quick learner, thriving with positive reinforcement and treats. She is just starting to explore the world of toys and loves carrying them around, discovering new ways to have fun. Paya walks beautifully on a leash and is currently discovering her love for hiking. After a good adventure, she enjoys a refreshing dip in the lake to cool off. She is also very good with the other resident dogs in the home and loves to mimic their activities. Her favorite thing is receiving a good belly rub, and she will plop down in front of you just to sneak in a quick one. Paya is looking for a loving home that will give her the time and patience she needs to blossom. She promises to fill your life with joy and companionship!
