Description

Once upon a time, this precious girl was found in a not-so-happy situation… but thanks to a caring fellow rescuer, Cinderella was brought to safety and is now thriving in her loving foster home.
And let us tell you — this girl got her fairy-tale sparkle back! ?
Cinderella is a happy, playful pup who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids. She loves playing with toys, romping around with her furry friends, and keeping herself entertained. One of her favorite pastimes? Sitting by the fence and watching the world go by — she’s a curious little princess who doesn’t want to miss a thing!
She’s also learning basic commands and showing just how smart she is. With a little continued guidance, she’s going to grow into an amazing companion.
Are you looking for a joyful, playful pup to add a little magic to your life? Cinderella is ready to find her forever happily ever after.

Local adoption fee is $250(in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Adoption process

Adoption application required. Adoption Fee is $200-350 local (Local is state of Texas) $500-800 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).. The higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.

We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county TX +usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.

Shelter location

We are primarily foster based rescue, and meet and greets are done after an application is approved by our counselors. The foster and adopter will arrange the meeting if both local to each other.

    Breed info

The Labrador Retriever, often abbreviated to Labrador, is a breed of retriever-gun dog from the United Kingdom that was developed from imported Canadian fishing dogs. The Labrador is one of the most popular dog breeds in a number of countries in the world, particularly in the Western world. A popular disability assistance breed in many countries, Labradors are frequently trained to aid those with blindness or autism, act as a therapy dog, or perform screening and detection work for law enforcement and other official agencies. The breed is best known for their obedience, loyalty, and playful composure. Additionally, they are prized as sporting and hunting dogs. Ancestors include a breed used in Newfoundland as fishing dogs, that would help in bringing in the fishing nets and recapture escaped fish. In the 1830s, the 10th Earl of Home and his nephews the 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lord John Scott, had imported progenitors of the breed from Newfoundland to Europe for use as gundogs. Another early advocate of these Newfoundland fishing dogs was the 2nd Earl of Malmesbury, who bred them for their expertise in waterfowling. During the 1880s, the 3rd Earl of Malmesbury, the 6th Duke of Buccleuch, and the 12th Earl of Home collaborated to develop and establish the Labrador Retriever breed. The dogs Buccleuch Avon and Buccleuch Ned, given by Malmesbury to Buccleuch, were mated with bitches carrying blood from those originally imported by the 5th Duke and the 10th Earl of Home. The offspring are the ancestors of all modern Labradors.
