Description

Welcome Ariel to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-pound Chihuahua mixed with mini schnauzer. She has the look of the Schnauzer and is semi fluffy. She should be 10 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Ariel is semi fluffy coated and while she likes being held, she is playful. She is crate trained, good with his siblings, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is less assertive than some in her pack. She is the smallest in the pack. She has a feminine stance and she is a marshmallow. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and flat and the schnauzer in her will make her less of a shedding dog as she grows up. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to her small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.

Adoption process

We try to make this process as easy as possible. We ask you to stay in touch with photo updates. It makes what we do so incredibly rewarding.

Shelter location

We are in Pipe Creek, Texas on an acreage. We will be using a transporter to deliver the dogs to New Jersey once they are adopted. We can let you speak to our Kennel Manager, Troy, who works with the dogs everyday. We also will provide the most current pictures and videos to help in your decision. Only the very best dogs will be transported.

    Breed info

The Miniature Schnauzer is a breed of small dog of the Schnauzer type that originated in Germany in the mid-to-late 19th century. Miniature Schnauzers may have been developed from the smallest specimens of the Standard Schnauzer, or crosses between the standard and one or more smaller breeds such as the Affenpinscher, Miniature Pinscher, and Poodles, as farmers bred a small dog that was an efficient ratting dog. They are described as "spunky" but aloof dogs, with good guarding tendencies without some guard dogs' predisposition to bite. Miniature Schnauzers are recognized in four colors internationally: solid black, black and silver, salt and pepper, and white. It is the most popular Schnauzer breed, and remains one of the most popular worldwide, primarily for its temperament and relatively small size. As of 2017 it is the 17th most popular breed in the U.S.
