Jonah, Rat Terrier For Adoption In Westminster, Colorado

Description + Description -

Jonah is an absolute love. He loves to cuddle and will crawl right into your lap and curl up. He has claimed our dog’s bed as his own and can find a cozy spot to curl up anywhere - including on a bunched up comforter that fell on the floor or atop a throw pillow. He is becoming more confident on leash, but will require some training and guidance. He is very excited to meet new people and new dogs alike. He has been pretty submissive with our equally submissive resident dog, but is eager to play and make new friends. He needs a little encouragement / treat bribes to go in the crate, but once he’s in there, he lays right down. He’ll maybe whimper once, but has done great overnight and while we’re out of the house. We haven’t heard him bark once in the time he’s lived with us! This little boy likes to play hard and sleep hard. He loves the crinkly lime on the “Buddy Mary” toy and will go for the donut all day. We are working on redirection with him, because once he’s activated he will bite for anything around him, but offering a toy usually works. After 20 minutes or so of play, he’s ready to nap again. There is nothing cuter than when he gets the zoomies with a leaf or pinecone in his mouth. From day one, he knew to go potty outside and hasn’t had any accidents in the house. ##2528642##Adoption processEvery pet adopted through our careful matching service benefits from preliminary vaccinations and health care, the relocation security of microchip identification.
