Description

Selene is a gorgeous young Russian Blue mix with a heart as soft as her fur. She was sadly dumped outside in a managed colony, where she became pregnant before being rescued by a kind caretaker. Now she's spayed, vaccinated and all ready for her furrever home!
 
Selene is a gentle soul who loves other cats and would thrive in a calm, peaceful home with a friendly feline companion. Once she feels safe, Selene will happily "talk" to you — greeting you when you come into the room and chatting when it's mealtime. She adores butt rubs and she loves lounging by the window, whether it's on her window bed or tucked underneath it where she feels cozy and secure. She is treat-motivated and loves her Churu treats! 
She's a calm, affectionate, and delightfully chatty kitty who's ready to bring love and serenity to her forever family.

Selene is a Russian Blue mix, about 1.5 years old and healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for FIV and FeLV. s a special breed, Selene's adoption fee is $250.

Adoption process

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

Shelter location

Please email us at [email protected] or contact the e-mail in the individual listing if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued animals. We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.

It is their short, dense coat which has been the hallmark of the Russian breed for more than a century. The dense coat stands out from the body and one can draw patterns in the coat that will stay until one smoothes them out again. They are also considered to be hypoallergenic.
